NM+U was tasked with refreshing Quality Inn’s logo and brand identity, balancing a modern look with the brand’s deep-rooted recognition. With over 2,000 hotels across the U.S., the refresh needed to honor its history while adapting to today’s digital landscape.

Quality Inn is one of the most recognizable hotel brands in the country, seen by hundreds of thousands of travelers every day. The logo, unchanged since the mid-2000s, needed a refresh—but not a reinvention. The challenge was to modernize the look while keeping the brand’s signature colors and iconic “Q” intact, ensuring strong brand recall. The updated design also had to translate seamlessly across digital platforms, signage, and printed materials without losing its familiar feel.
Solution
NM+U refined the Quality Inn logo by embracing its legacy green while introducing a multi-point gradient, adding warmth and depth. This modern gradient enhances digital clarity while giving print materials a more polished, tactile feel. A fresh combination of classic and contemporary fonts created a balance between tradition and modernity, bridging the gap between what was and what’s next. The result?
